HBO’s New MAX
You may already be aware that HBO recently launched a new update for their streaming service app. Unfortunately, the launch has been less than smooth. One of the biggest sources of confusion is that the update is an entirely new app, rather than just a simple rebrand of the existing one with saved user preferences. With the new app comes loads of problems working on Apple TV, quality issues, as well as any new app’s bugs and glitches. After reading some of the reviews left by some disgruntled users I thought I should share a couple that we’re pretty humorous.

While there are lots of negative reviews from your average reviewers, there is also a great number of positive comments as well highlighting some of the good the new app has brought.

While many may complain about specific app problems, I’d have to say the web version is very smooth and easy to navigate. I do enjoy lots of the shows available on the platform today as well as movies and originals like “The Last of Us”. With the new Max app, I’m hoping that this is the fire that improves their catalog and viewer experience, once they’ve cleaned up some of the bugs of course.
My final verdict on the new app is that there is so much to binge on the platform; even with the growing pains, it provides many unique ways to watch all the content they offer.
